BASILICA TO BEGIN TRAINING FOR CLASS OF 2007 TOUR GUIDES! Do you have a love for Catholic history? Do you have an interest in art and architecture? Do you have one or two free days a month? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Basilica of the Assumption Historic Trust is looking for you! The Trust is currently searching for individuals, to join our current enthusiastic volunteers, who serve as tour guides at the Basilica of the Assumption, America’s First Cathedral. Those interested will be asked to take part in a training seminar about the Basilica, and must comply with Archdiocesan volunteer requirements. CAPUCHIN FRANCISCAN FRIARS: For 800 years followers of Saint Francis of Assisi have been rebuilding the Church. The Capuchin Franciscans are priests & brothers who serve Christ in the spirit of Saint Francis. Men between the ages of 16 & 40 are invited to visit a Capuchin friary.
